ok if you are from russia and ukraine then i am sorry but why you all hate peoples who are from india or pakistan?

as a malaysian student there,i have to admit they are not that friendly.but i'm not saying all of them are.i know that some are very intersted in the different lives of the foreigners.but as for the other half,i dont undertsand why they are giving us the cold shoulders.it could be the language barrier that kept us apart.they are very proud of their language and it's really rare to see them speaking in english.the other reason that i could think of is that maybe because the country used to be a communist country and because their policy is different and not open up to foreign deals etc.well,living in russia with no knowledge of the language can be hard.some will not entertain you unless you speak in that language.it is quite irritating.but after living there for 2 years,i'm slowly adapting to the custom there and experience the moments of having to bear the snow for almost half a year.well,i'm taking this chance to tell the russians that i'm hoping that they would really be a little more friendly towards the foreigners there whether we are white or black.because we are just human beings after all.

No, they're not. I'm not from either Russia or Ukraine, but I like those people. As the matter of fact, I have a friend who used to like in Russia, then moved to Ukraine and now she's in America. She's no racist. They're not racists, either. Of course that there are some people who hate people from India or Pakistan, but there are people like that in every single country in the world. That's unavoidable. There are racists in every country.

I have two explanations:
1) if a person belongs to an inferior (second-class) group in his/her country, then she/he needs to invent a reason to make another class even more inferior.
2). Under communist there was a lot of official propaganda about internationalism. Many people hated all kind of propaganda, including this one. Surprisingly, xenophobia was quite tolerated by the authorities (anti-semitism, "Chukcha jokes", not to mention what Stalin has done with entire ethnic groups like Germans, Crimean Tatars, Chechens etc.)

they have their own agenda, I am not sure if they are so racist motivated as they are stingy, wanting land, goods and power
