I am not a bigot but i have noticed that alot of white kids disrespect thier parents and the parents dont do or say anything. They let their kids do anything. If they do punish the kids, it's only something minor like their cell phone taken away, the stereo gone, or no weed smoking during a school night. Some of them even hit their parents. OMG. The kids tell the parents to get out of "thier" room like they are the ones paying rent or mortgage. I mean growng up i was deathly afraid to tell my mother to get out of my room or to back off, kiss my a**, mind your own business. Even if my mother was wrong. Toddlers in the grocery store are cussin their mother's and father's out. Today at 22 with my own house, car, and bills i am still afraid of her. I hold a value of respect and i will not one time raise my voice at her or disrespect her in anyway. I am not saying blacks kids dont disrespect thier parents but the majority that i have seen are white kids acting this way.

It's not just the white kids doing it.. it doesn't matter where they come from, what background, nationality or race they may be some (not all) are doing that. It's happening in all cultures.... different way of being raised than what past generations were raised.
The parents are no longer in control of their children because of the way it is so easy to say "abuse" if you discipline your child now. I am almost 45 and although I lost my mom nearly 20 years ago, I grew up fearing God AND Mom....mostly Mom cause she was right there and in my face (or spanking my butt) if I did something wrong. Now, you can't do a whole lot (other than grounding them and withdrawing something they enjoy) without risking going to jail or having your kids taken from you for abuse.
My daughter (15) is being raised pretty much as I was raised... spare the rod and spoil the child... She is spoiled but the "rod" has not been spared. She was taught and knows the meaning of manners and respect which is something I am finding a lot of her friends have no clue about.
I am not a very strict Mom and my daughter knows my "limits" which she will push occasionally but for the most part, I have taught her the basics of manners and respect for herself and others. Her biggest problem is being TOO SMART and she will try to argue her point if she thinks she is absolutely correct.

It is kids in general. Usually if it is a 2 parent household, both parents put in long hours and in their off time feel guilty for lack of time spent with the kids so they let them do as they please. They don't DEMAND respect. It also seems people nowadays are just afraid to discipline their children. I am not one of these. My children are very respectful and toe the line so to speak. This year whilst shopping for school clothes for kids I have seen various parent bashing t shirts, like parents for sale, buy one get one free, or something about my job for the day is to annoy my parents. My 6 year old baby said "Mama, that is terrible, I try never to annoy you and I don't want anyone for a parent but you and Daddy". I know the shirts are made to be funny, but they are a direct reflection on what today's society is becoming. Disrespectful!

Its a total lack of respect and yes your right. I am 31 years old and I fear God and my Mom too.
Kids are horrible these days and parent are mostly to blame. They throw a tv, xbox or the internet at their kids and expect that item to babysit !
Its scary to see how their kids will ast when they grew up and have their own children !!!!!

I see it in all races....It's a generational thing and breakdown of society in morals and values. I've been told that they are not the same these days. "Well for me they never changed, but I can see that they have definitely been flushed down the toilet by most folks behavior and lack of it.........
