I put up with it for 17 years before he threw one temper tantrum too many. Somehow I just knew, okay, that's it: you crossed the line. So I quit the part-time job I loved, got a job with better pay and benefits, started saving money, and a year later handed him a separation agreement. The divorce became final in June and I feel as though the weight of the world has been lifted from my shoulders. My life is so PEACEFUL now; I don't feel like I'm constantly anticipating a bomb about to explode. It's so wonderful to come home and know nobody is going to snap my head off.

with patience and understanding.
most people are moody for a reason. once you know the reason and look at their day from their point of view, you can see that you'd probably be moody too
then again some people are just jerks and need to be blown off.
bottom line, don't let somebody elses mood have an effect on yours

the best thing is ,if you are not living with that person ,never do so.......believe me ,a moody person can drag you down with them and that can cause you depression unless you are strong enough to mentally fight against it.Moody people are usually also verbally abusive.Well at least that is the case with the moody person i live with.

My mother and older sister are this way. I think they are both bi-polar. Its so bad my father is afraid to say or do anything around them. Its gotten to the point where I'm not welcomed to visit unless I'm invited. I live out of town from them. Anything sets them off. Something happened and my older sister said something to me last time I was there and mentioned it was the opinion of the whole family. I left early and haven't spoken to any of them since. I'm fed up with the way I and my family are treated when visiting and my father not sticking up for me.

I usually grip the scruff on the back of the neck firmly and apply positive pressure forwards and down. Wear gloves/goggles when handling for safety.

if that person is your friend understand his problems and show some sympathy. mood disorder is caused by psycho-bio-social reasons. if that is severe lay men can not handle them properly it is to be left to psychiatrists.

Not proud of this....I just leave. I'm having too much fun in life now to have someone's sour attitude ruin it for me.
