make them hate each other and want to kill one another, especially in the Middle East? Why cannot we respect one another regardless of religion? Why cannot we see every single person here on Earth as brothers and sisters? We are all human beings right? I guess I'm dreaming.

You are right and I agree with you but it will never happen because there is way too much hatred that has already consumed the entire world.

Exactly- and most people of all faiths (and even those of no faith) would probably agree. Part of the problem is that people of various religions throughtout history become so invested in their own personal beliefs/doctrines that they become intolerant of any other peoples that hold different ideas and practices. Seems like the greater part of mankind's last 20 centuries has basically been a legacy of war, conquest, death, destruction, exploitation, persecution, and intolerance in the name of religion by members of various faiths who were so indoctrinated by their own personal convictions that they were convinced others of different religions were either sub-human and/or a threat to themselves, society, or to the "true" word of God. Absurd to me that any person can honestly be 100% convinced that their religion is, in fact, the only one to have any validy, all the answers, etc. (think I'LL post a follow up question on this myself). It saddens me that so many various religions preach tolerance of others and were established not in order to create/force converts but, rather, simply as different expressions and thoughts on the same ideals (after-life, morality, etc.); however, throughout history, various religions have been almost "hi-jacked" by those with a warped sense of their religion's message for political purposes or for even more sinister purposes. I look at Christianity, Judaism, and, Islam at their core beliefs and see all 3 faiths generally share many similar ideas and philosophies and wonder why there is so much intolerance of the others; I also wonder why there needs to be any conflict really between ANY religions. Religion should be a personal matter where individuals should have the right to practice any faith (within reason of not harming others, breaking societal laws/norms, etc.) that speaks to them. I guess with the limitations on mankind (intolerance, morality, national pride, greed, etc.), there may never be an end to the death and destruction caused in the name of religion here on Earth. Personally, my greatest hope is that those of various faiths, even those of no faith, who lived morally and with compassion for others are rewarded in the next life (for those who believe in such things) and those members of various religions who spread hatred, violence, intolerance, etc. are punished by God for misrepresenting His words.
