You must understand that the label 'Liberal' today does not mean what it once did. Unfortunately, most liberals in American society today do not realize that the Democrat party was infiltrated since the 1930's by the communists. The tactics modern Liberals use to destroy their opposition are all communist in nature.
So, despite the lengthy answer about what liberalism is (read that 'was') is non-applicable today. These days it liberal=communist. Pure and simple.

If all liberals left America the country would be a third world backwater within a year.
The liberals are the ones generating the economic, cultural, artistic, political and social forces that make America dynamic and influential in the world.
The redneck, neo-con, fundamentalist yahoos that make up the rest of the country are the ones that started the Civil War, that dragged their feet on civil rights, that keep 80 million Americans from getting health care, that are bringing ignorance into the science classes across the country, that nurture hatred and racism, that extoll ignorance and small mindedness, support needless, heedless, greedy aggression against other countries (no turning the other cheek here) and have brought the hatred and derision of the world down on America.
Sorry for the big words, neo-cons. Maybe you can find a liberal to dumb down the paragraph above for you so you can understand it.

I am a proud Republican and I feel that our country is great just the way it is. We need the liberals, the conservatives, the independents, even the communists, and any other groups I haven't mentioned. Why, you might ask. Because what makes our country great is that we have so many differences. As a Republican I believe in individual differences. Which means if a liberal has an idea I can support I can choose to vote for that person. No, I don't believe most of what liberals say but I and all our brave men and women in uniform will defend to the death their right to say it.

Of course not. I'm a moderate with conservative leanings, but I realize that in order to keep our political system balanced, we NEED some liberals. Are some of them wayyyy out there? Well, yeah. But liberal thinking has done some good things in the past (though not much in the last 30 years), like the Civil Rights movement, which was considered liberal at the time.
It's actually a shame that many liberals have deviated from that heroic path, and have become what they are now. We still need them though.

"They obviously hate it here" - What repubes say every time you disagree with the president( their president, I might add).
"They Support Terrorism"- What repubes say when you disagree with the illegal invasion and occupation of sovereign nations by the leadership of the USA.
"baby killing" - What repubes say we liberals support because we are against the Iraq war.
"immoral behavior" The repubes consistent reference to Clinton's indiscretion in the white house. They believe that as opposed to an illegal invasion of Iraq is an impeachable offense..LOL
The problem is the repubes deal exclusively in absolutes. If the president launched a nuke at Oklahoma farmland the they would unequivocally support it..
They are sheep at their very core. Support the president because he is president.... title doesn't command respect...title is just a word...
Liberals question... repubes blindly accept and follow

Yes Deport all un-American activity.
Start with deporting every single unemployed person
Next comes the parasites. Anyone that is not able to show a paycheck from a Government approved job gets deported.
Follow that with all university students that are not in a military school.
And by deporting I mean put people on a ship and take them 100 miles off shore and dump them.
They are free to go where ever they want.
Go big Red Go

SINCE YOU DON"T KMOW WHAT LIBERALS STAND FOR READ.Liberalism is an ideology, philosophical view, and political tradition which holds that liberty is the primary political value.[1] Liberalism has its roots in the Western Enlightenment, but the term now encompasses a diversity of political thought.
Broadly speaking, contemporary liberalism emphasizes individual rights as opposed to group rights. It seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, especially of government and religion, the rule of law, free public education, and progressive taxation, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports relatively free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected. [2] In modern society, liberals favor a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed[3].
Many liberals advocate a greater degree of government interference in the free market, often in the form of anti-discrimination laws, civil service examinations, universal education, and progressive taxation. This philosophy frequently extends to a belief that the government should provide for a degree of general welfare, including the dole for the poor, housing for the homeless, and medical care for the sick. Such publicly-funded initiatives and interferences in the market are rejected by modern advocates of classical liberalism, which emphasizes free private enterprise, individual property rights and freedom of contract; classical liberals hold that economic inequality, as arising naturally from competition in the free market, does not justify the violation of private property rights. However, modern advocates of classical liberalism do advocate a heavier taxation on the corporation, as opposed to the current trend of the burden of income tax resting on the shoulders of the individual worker, as did the early classical liberals.
Liberalism rejected many foundational assumptions which dominated most earlier theories of government, such as the Divine Right of Kings, hereditary status, and established religion. Fundamental human rights that all liberals support include the right to life, liberty, and property. Liberalism has its roots in the Western Enlightenment, but the term now encompasses a diversity of political thought, with adherents spanning a large part of the political spectrum.
A broader use of the term liberalism is in the context of liberal democracy (see also constitutionalism). In this sense of the word, it refers to a democracy in which the powers of government are limited and the rights of citizens are legally defined; this applies to nearly all Western democracies, and therefore is not solely associated with liberal parties.
