While raising the hard top of our Dutchman popup camper we forgot to open the one tie down and started cranking the top up. When it got to a certain point, the cable for the corner that we forgot to open made a loud pop. The cable that makes that corner go up broke. How do you go about fixing this problem. Does anyone have a schematic for repair?

Oh dear, that's a problem that I don't even think duct tape will fix. The only thing I can suggest is that you go to a camper repair place and have the cable replaced.

Sorry that happened.

I had the same problem happen to me, started cranking my pop up and it got uneven, There is no real easy way to fix this, you are probably going to have to take it to a dealer. The mechanism on a pop up is good for about 3-5 years depending on how often you use it. I was fortunate enough to experience my problem as we were emptying it out to trade it in on a 30 foot travel trailer. The dealer was nice enough to give us 2500 US no matter what condition it was in so we got rid of it. I hope it all works out for you.
