Just curious. I have an Impala that rides so smooth and that baby can fly but I haven't pushed her all the way because I am scared. I don't want to wreck or get a ticket. Still, I know that if I had to, she could get up and go with just a push on the accelerator. I am not a speed demon or a racer. I am professional, 30 something, mother of two who sometimes has wild thoughts about living in the fast lane. Years ago when I had another car, I got up to about 110 mph when my little brother had cut himself really badly on a glass bottle that he fell on in the yard. I took him to the hospital that was about 15 miles away. That's the fastest that I have ever gone. Share your speed stories with me. Just good fun.

I was actually clocked on a Texas freeway doing 147 mph. Let me tell you it was all I could do to keep my *** from going to jail. I have been faster on a drag strip but thats just a short high. Now after my last major car accident, I obey the rules for the most part. Unless I am heading to Wisconsin, coming north out of Des Moines I have been known to set the throttle at about 110 mph all the way to Minnesota. Or if your ever heading out of Missouri south on 44 into Oklahoma and you see a truck blow past you at about 100 mph, theres your sign :~P

Over 140 in an 85 pontiac grand prix. Mine was pegged at 85 but the car I was racing was pegged at 140...and I was pulling away. Those old 350's can get up and go...with a good carb.

Young and stupid.

Had done about 140 in a 94 mustang gt. Was over a long bridge over water. Did it for fun, and knew was getting the gears swapped soon.

I have a Saturn SC1 ,and I wanted to know what it would do. I discovered it governs out at 210 Kilometers per hr. I think it could do better if it didn't govern out...Damnit!! Not sure what that is in miles (I'm Canadian, eh!).
