well i did not want people to compare leagues im just sayin that we do have players in the MLS that can compete with teams like chelsea. Besides once u wear a jersey of a team (dont matter who you are or wut team, u gonna go for the win)

I think that with time the MLS will be a great league....just not yet

welll i think it was an overrated win since chelsea was using a 3rd string goalie. but the mls continues to improve and churn out top caliber players. i hope the mls continues to grow and starts to attract top players from around the world. it's acutally a very entertaining league to watch. there's a fair amount of parity and many different teams get to the playoffs each year.

It's still and always will be a 2nd rate league.
Let's compare player salaries;
Top MSL paid player is: Juan Francisco Palencia at 1.36M$ guaranteed, that's a base of 692,000$ plus signing bonuses.
#1 paid soccer player in the world: David Beckham at around 9.5M$/year.
Do you honestly think that top rated players are going to come to the US to play for peanuts when they can make more than 4 times the salary in first rated leagues in Europe.

I'm so proud of them! Yay, MLS!! I mean, that one save on the goal line was awesome! By Eddie R.? He wasn't even a defender and he hauled @ss to get it! Whoot!
But I love John Terry, Frank Lampard & Joe Cole. They did good, regardless.
