My first real job was actually acting as a senate page for the Washington State Senate when I was 14. It was one week of basically being a gofer to my voting district's senator. We just delivered interoffice mail and passed out papers and things on the Senate floor, but it was cool to get a glimpse at how government worked. I got $120 from the federal payroll for the job and we still had to do schoolwork during the week ;)

My first real job was at a ladies gym instructing the clients how to do the exercise routine & use the equipment. I was 18 and just started college. I learned some real life lessons there about how mean & gossipy women can be, things that have served me well over the years.

U'd B surprised how many times a young lad would approach the counter wanting 2 buy just about anything but Condoms.

I was 17 and going to take a CBE (Cooperative Business Education) class in high school. The teacher helped me find a summer job that would continue throughout the school year and further if I wanted it to. I worked as a warehouse office helper. I answered the phones on occasion and did data entry. I moved from department to department. It was kinda fun.

My first job was working at a carnival, on a ride. I was in the 4th grade, and the carnival came to town, and they let me work at it. I helped set up the ride, then I cokllected tickets, then I helped tear the ride down. It lasted a week. The bonus was that I did all this just cause it was fun, bot expecting to get paid, then at the end, when they were just about to leave town, they gave me over $200, and that was in 1972. It was early christmas.

I think my first real job was for the newspaper, trying to sell routes to new accounts. I only lasted a few weeks. Then I can't remember which was next - working at an answering service or at the Bagel Depot.

I was a busgirl at a pizza place, 13 years old. It was a great first job -- I learned to work hard, to value a dollar, and also how much I didn't want to do physical labor for the rest of my life! I'm sure that helped get me through college.

i was working over the summer through a job program for kids about 15 years ago, and i worked 40 hours a week for 2 months and i worked at Catholic Charities and i helped sorting out clothes from donations, and i was in contact with the less fortunate people and i helped serve lunch from the volunteers from a church and i also made food bags for people who were struggling financially. i really liked my job because it was then where i stopped complaining about not having enough things and i realized that they're were people who were worse off than i was
