Silver is a soft metal and bends quite easily compared to some others. Measure the size of your finger with string and then measure the string with a ruler. Leaving about a half to 3quarters of an inch longer than the measured length cut the handle from the bowl of the spoon using a fine tooth hacksaw or jewellers saw ( about $15 -$20 ). Use a file and then sanding paper to smooth the edges. Cover the end of a small hammer with leather or heavy suede so it doesn't scratch the silver and pound the cut end a little smoother. Using flat nosed pliers also covered with suede or leather put one of teeth of the pliers in the end of a piece of pipe and clamp the spoon handle to the pipe with the other tooth, securing the decorative end to the pipe. Holding this firmly use a second pair of pliers ( also covered) grasp the cut end of the spoon part way down and firmly bend around the pipe. This will take some effort and strength and as it bends slowly continue to do the same working your way to the end of the handle to the cut edge. Make sure that you are spiralling the spoon handle up the pipe so the ring overlaps on the front. Once you have the basic shape you can adjust it by further just holding with the pliers and adjusting with the other pair. It takes a little trial and error to get it just right. When you're done clean the edges a little more by filing and sanding and then polish with silver polish.
