there is this awesome stuff at Target called FOLEX. it's about $5 for a 32 ounce bottle and it's the best!! it's an "Instant Carpet Spot Remover" but I use it on everything.
It's:
-safe for any colorfast materials
-non-toxic and completely non-irritating to normal skin
-non-flammable since it contains no solvents of any kind
-odor-free, no unpleasant chemicals
-CFC and petroleum free
-instant results with no rinsing
It says to "simply apply a generous amount on the spot, agitate with finger tips and blot with an absorbent cloth".
If you use a white paper towel or cloth, you can actually see the colored stain coming out onto the towel. It's really cool and completely non-harsh.
I use it on my kids' fabric shoes, clothes, carpets, bedspread - everything!!
It's in a white bottle with dark purple writing - you wouldn't even really notice it on the shelf because it's very old looking, but works like magic. You can also go to http://www.folex.net to buy it. Every household should have some.

By, Ban-it, stain remover if they still sell it , removes all kinds of stains even blood.
