I came home from school, and my dad, who was ill, was sitting in his chair. I climbed up into his lap and we both fell asleep. He died a few days later. I was eight, but I remember it like it was yesterday.

My second would have to be the time I came out from my kindergarten class, and my dad was waiting for me. He had gotten me a kitten from someone at work. My mom said he was so excited that he came home from work and picked me up at school, he couldn't wait. Had that cat for a long long time.

The greatest memory I have from that time would be the day my great-grandma came to live with me. She became my best friend before she passed on. SO that day led to many wonderful memories

Walks with my Dad. We'd take off and be gone for hours. He'd tell me stories about when he was growing up and walk around his old neighborhood. I'd give anything for one more walk with him.
