Why does the box score in baseball include hits and errors?

It shows whether the base runners were the fault of the pitcher (hits) or the rest of the team (errors) for the most part. Baseball is a game wrought with detailed statistics.

The box score is important it shows how many hit the pitcher gave up and errors the fielders make and the errors aren't the pitcher fault

do you even know what a box score is? it gives a lot more than that....what i think you are thinking about is called a "line score".. box score includes both batting orders and what each player did during the game.
