This is a common problem, several users receive mail which they do not want. Generally at first we ignore, but sometimes things go to far.
It is possible to find out who is sending the mails. Is it coming from same address? But I don't think you can get the phone no.s of the person.
You can also do the following:
a) First get the IP from where the mail has come. (You can get it by going to options in your yahoo mail and then select detail headers. You will find the IP.
b) Then you can visit www.easywhois.com and find out the more details there.
c) If it helps it's good otherwise go to the police. They will take necessary action.
You should not delete this mail because in case of Police complaints you can show the details.
For more details please read :
Email is the most widely used application on the internet. Hotmail, Yahoo mail, Gmail are the most popular free web based email service providers. Paid email services can be accessed using email clients like Outlook and Outlook Express. I have found more information on how email works and how

You can get an idea where e-mail originates by looking at the headers of the e-mail. The Computer Investigations & Computer Forensics Unit of the University of Delaware Police has posted instructions for different e-mail programs.

It is called the "Delete" key. Use it. Man, there is no reason someone should be "bullied" electronically. There are enough autofilter and blocking components in software that you shouldn't have to put up with that. Besides, unless he is spamming you to the point where it is causing problems with your service, complaining to authorities won't do much unless the bully in question is actually making threats. Just being "mean" isn't a crime.

i know there is an option on some email providers, that you can make sure that each message that comes in has a lot of detail on it. It will have th IP address in the detail, maybe if you give the IP adress to the police, they can track down the persons location.
tell your friend to check his email settings for his incoming messages to have full information and detail.

If it is a Yahoo address, in Mail, Options, Preferences, your friend should select "full headers." This will give you the URL address of the sender and you can report the above to any number of places. Go to Yahoo, help, and type "report abuse."

Why read the crap? make a folder, and send all his email to that!
and, when we observe email in a proper browser, we invoke full headers, and inform his ISP that he is violating the terms and conditions, then, if that doesn't stop him when they pull his email account, you sue both the ISP and him (and you get the lawyers to sub poena the ISP records!)
It works every time!
Even better, get a new account, and only give it to people you trust!
Then, he doesn't know your new mail account!

Maybe. Inform the police and they should be able to trace them whoever is sending the e-mail.

convinced adult adult males and women folk human beings can only be acquaintances. i'm witness to it daily. My husband has a really reliable woman chum, better like a sister separated at beginning. there have been circumstances that I surely have felt like the third wheel yet I surely have worked by ability of those subject matters with my husband.
