I agree with the other two people answering. It is either a Demographic Map or Atlas. Demography is the study of the location of people and movement of people. Real Estate Agents, marketing people and Government Departments use them to plan marketing strategy and plan for supporting infrastructure, eg for secondary schools and aged care according to the particular people living in the area. The information is also used to anticipate trends. The Bureau of Statistics or its equivalent where you live may be able to provide such information online.
