Yes the price of gas will find its way up to $5-$6 within a year from now. unless we stop using the stuff. Way back in college ,I took Eco 101 and learn about supply and demand. if we just stop buying gas, If we all would drive small 4 cylinder cars and totally give up on the ridiculous SUV we will can lower the price of gas.

Yes, the price of gas will keep rising. The oil companies raise prices because they can and they will continue to do so as long as we keep buying gas or investing in oil futures in order to make more money for ourselves.

We are unlikely to find a cheaper fuel source than super high energy black stuff that comes out of the ground and is there for the taking.
Only political stability can bring stable markets and cheap energy. We voted ourselves unstable leaders w/out insight who take their lead from the military so little hope for the foreseeable.

Yes, prices will continue to go up as long as there are no regulations to stop the ever greedy oil barons! Did you see the profits Exxon made this year! If our government can step in and break up the telephone monopoly, why can't they regulate the oil industry?

They will charge whatever the public will pay. That means if they charge ten bucks per and people pay it then it'll be ten bucks per. Whatever the market will bear. They want to make money. That is why the oil industry spent hundreds of millions of dollars putting GW in office.
