He likes food of another culture which lives actually on another continent. It is not HIS culture, neither mine, but he got used to that food and likes it,,, hehe.
Now, the thing is, he is quite a good cook, but I don't like the spicey version of his food cause I always have to drink yoghurt and water with it, to be able to swallow.
Once we cooked together, it turned out quite fine,,, but I don't know how to resolve this..... such almost opposite preferences... will this cost us time and money, till everyone cooks their own, oh Jebus!

This is healthy, tasty and very easy to make( even boys can make it:-) Ingredients: * 2 Red Peppers * 3 medium Potatoes * 8 Eggs * 2 tbsp Olive oil * 100 g Feta cheese, crumbled * Black Pepper Method: * Grill the peppers under a hot grill for 10-15 minutes until they are black all over. Peel off the skin, remove the seeds and cut into thick strips. * Slice potatoes into discs and fry gently for 10-15 minutes over medium heat. Remove when they are tender and start to break up. * Whisk the eggs in a large bowl, then add the potatoes and peppers, and season with black pepper. Cook gently for 5 minutes.. * Crumble the feta over the tortilla and grill for 4-5 minutes until cheese is browned. * Leave the tortilla to relax for a few minutes, cut into wedges and serve with a green salad. Tip: * For a more spicey option, add 1/2 tsp hot Paprika powder.

it's called compromise. Learn to cook some of the foods he enjoys and temper the hotness/spices so you can eat and enjoy them. Likewise, since he's a good cook, have him learn some of your favorites.
Additionally I suggest both of you trying out new global cuisines together to see if there's one you both say WOW to! This gives you a chance to find yet more dishes you both like, and also explore something new together (ie - take the negative and make it a positive).

wow.... well I would say if you love him and want him happy then cater to his belly :)... keep stuff on hand that you can eat for yourself this may mean compromising so he cooks a little bit of what you like to while spicing up his own share of the food... but I would recommend simply learning how to cook his favorite dishes and splitting the difference with im. Compomise within reason sounds like it will be the key to this conflict on the cooking front.

Most recipes can be made using less spice, devided in half and then spiced up to the tastes of the other. I frequenty do this
