There is nothing bad about that.
But there's also nothing bad about not being white. Or not being straight. Or not being male. Or not liking guns. Or not believing in God. Or believing in a different god.
Unfortunately, many people think that anyone not like them IS bad. And that's a problem.

Since you chose those self-descriptors, your question answers itself, actually.
If the human race is going to survive, it has to evolve. Violence, bigotry, and self-righteousness will have to give way to compromise, tolerance, empathy, and understanding. The considerable energies people now expend trying to divide the societies in which they live must be converted to knowledge, and meaningful, constructive progress toward a cooperative future.
End of story.

Just my opinion, if we outlaw guns only outlaws will have guns, guns have a bad reputatuion because of the freaks that get thier hands on them, we have a right to defend ourselves.
