Do you think it is too much of me to want myself to only date/marry a Doctor or Lawyer? Just to let you know i'm not setting those goals for money. I'm doing it because of intrest. I know a lot of people call it "high standerds" but i don't think it is. What's your opinion?

Go for it. It may not be all glamorous when he is work late or on weekend or not home for supper during the week. Everyone should have high standards of what they want. Some don't even set standards. What interest you in this to set your standards on a doctor or lawyer? Don't just settle for anything. Go for your dreams.

Well that is all fine and good but placing standards of love on basis of a job title could leave you out in the cold and lonely. Are your only intrests in life law and medical? True love is hard enough to find and limiting yourself to such a small percentage of the male poplulation well your decreasing your odds. I feel you will change your mind with time. Good luck and keep an open mind. Your true love may be a pilot you never know.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to date doctors and lawyers. You have your own reasons for wanting to do so. There's nothing wrong with having high standards. Some girls don't believe they are good enough and will date any piece of crap that comes along and shows some interest. Good for you

Why? are they better people or are you saving yourself for the guy that will provide you with the most $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Doctors and lawyers can be sucky husbands too regardless of how much money they make.

You have the right to choose your own preferences! It may not be the easiest thing in the world! Sometimes our hearts lead us to someone and their occupation is not what we wanted or expected! It's ok to have high standards. Don't settle. You know what you want and you have the right to go for it! Just don't miss out on something wonderful because of your limitations on what you want. Be open to all things!

Wanting to only date docs or lawyers is elitist. More importantly, it limits your capacity to meet "the one" who just may not be a doctor or a lawyer.
