It's $3.19 in most of Kentucky

The reason the price is rising so fast is oil speculation. People think it's because of George Bush is in office, but why then is the price so high all over the world. In Europe the price is $4.00 or more per liter. (there are 3.785 liters in 1 U.S. gallon)
Anyone who thinks the American Government can control the price of oil is sadly mistaken. What we need to do to control the price is " to dump the large gas-hogs" that most people like to travel in. Find a fuel efficient car and slow down. Combine errands and do all chores on the same trip, and as someone else said carpool. I'm sorry I got long winded but I spend on average about $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 a year on diesel fuel for my truck so I can earn my living.

Why not? Everyone is still going to use thier cars no matter what the price is. BTW--gas is already $3.15 here. I cannot imagine what it is in New York and CA.

Yes, we should carpool more and maybe with prices rising so much more people will--but I doubt it.

Because you have Texas oilmen in the White House with their friends the oil sheiks in Saudi Arabia pulling the strings. Gas increases will raise the price of everything shipped and that really does mean everything.

UP TO $2.99? I have been paying over $3 for a couple weeks now. Have Mr. Bush ask his Texan friends 'what up'?

IT'S BEEN OVER $3 FOR A YEAR NOW.

WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVE? BECAUSE BUSH IS A CORRUPT OIL MAN WHO HAS MANIPULATED THE PRICES BY FIRST BUYING UP ALL THE GAS RESERVES (AND HAVING TAXPAYERS FOOT THE BILL) THUS LOWERING SUPPLY, INVADING IRAQ AND KATRINA.

BUSH AND CHENEY, TWO OILMEN ARE IN HEAVEN RIGHT NOW.

Man, that is cheap lol. Here in Cincy, it's $3.15. Other places are pushing $4 a gallon. But yeah, something needs to be done about this.

Its political reasons why it is going up now. We have 3.15-3.25 at most stations right now. If you want lower gas prices get Bush out of office.

$2.99-Wow!! That's a bargain-our area is up to about $3.15 a gallon(Baltimore). There is pretty much nothing we can do about it-just have to go with the flow and try to make the best of it!

Because Bush has stocks in oil. He will probably sell his stocks about a month before his term ends and he and his family will be set for generations.
