you just need to put in the cd (make sure it is the right type of cd) and then go into your "my pictures" folder and click copy to disc.

I am assuming your PC has a CD writer drive and runs on Windows XP. First load a blank CD into the drive. Open My Computer and click on the CD drive file (its usually called D:/). Now open the file containing the pictures you want to transfer. Simply highlight the pictures with your mouse and drag them across to the CD drive file. There should be a label on the left side of the CD drive window that says "Write these files to CD". Click on it, and the computer will do the rest.

I hope this solves your problem. I know using computers can be daunting at first, but it does get better! :-)

Why use a CD when flashdrives give you so much more space and they are so easy to use? Today's paper lists a 1G for $29.

Re: the CD -- do you have to format the CD before copying to it? I have two burners, a Samsung and a Dell. Both require formatting before using the CD as a floppy. You have to use CD/RWs. In both cases, the files cannot be view on another computer unless the other computer has their reader on it.

u need to have a cd-writer to do that..i am assuming u have one..and using windows xp...
Just browse to your pictures >>>Select the ones to want on the cd using ctrl key..>>>right click on any of the selected photos>>and click send to>>>send to cd drive...

when u do that a icon will apear with a pop up in the task bar(bottom-right)..the pop up saying u have files waiting to be written on a cd...
click on that and u will be taken on to a cd burning wizard...just click on next>>next>> and u should be done in couple of minutes...

OR
u could use a good cd burning software such as nero..to do it..

Okay, first of all, do you have a cd-writer or dvd-writer?
If you do, then you'll need a program to burn the data onto the cd like, eg: Nero or some programs. You can go to download.com to find for the burner programmes.. :)

Try to download Nero 7 free trial since you have to do this once. It should work. I'm guessing you've been trying to do this with Windows Explorer. It sucks.
