Learning a foreign language is not very easy. But the best thing you can do is to have the required materials daily. Furthermore you need to be able to practice what you learned in class at home, in school, and even at church with people like for example learning the basic vocabulary. Knowing the vocabulary is very important.

Depends how you do it.
I took spanish for years, but did not "get it" until submersion in Costa Rica for 2 months. The good news it is still accessible in my brain, even though I have not really spoken it on a regular basis for about 8 years.
On the other hand, I used Fodor's travelers French before going to France. I was good for about 2 weeks of being there. But now can not remember much.
Hope that helped.

I've taken Spanish for 3 years and I'm nonetheless no longer fluent. I've additionally traveled to Spain and Mexico. If you research there instantly you'll haven't any clue what's going on however should you research for approximately 3 years after which move, you will have to be lovely good off. I'm announcing should you simplest research for the period of the university yr five/6 years.

Depends on your level of study.... if you learn one word a day, it would take you years...
If you went to Spain or Mexico... you would learn by submersion..you would be ok in a month..
I took 2 yrs of Spanish in HS and 2 yrs in College... and still cant conversationally speak it..

a lot of it depends on how old you are. Launguages are a lot easier to learn when your younger. If your into adulthood, it is very possible but is harder to learn, therefor will take longer. A few years probably.

Well it really depends on how well you can memorize and stuff. Also if you are from America you could most probably get it quickly because you are surrounded by people who speak the language.
