I'm just glad his dad was there to see it.

He fully deserved the win, but someone should put a muzzle on ITV's James Allen. Murray Walker's excitement was entertaining; Allen is just plain annoying. He sounded orgasmic as Button crossed the finish line.
Button's win broke a 63-race drought for British drivers. The last to win was David Coulthard in a McLaren at the 2003 Australian GP.
Interestingly enough the last time Honda won a race as a constructor was at the 1967 Italian GP and it was also a Brit, John Surtees, who won that race.

It's about time Jenson Button won a race. But he only won because Kimi wrecked his car, Alonso had a problem after he changed tires and retired, Michael 's track rod broke and the wet conditions effected anyone else with a chance.
I would like to see Jenson more competitive when all other things are equal.
That having been said, good for him for taking advantage of everybody else's misfortune to win the race!

Yeah I am glad he won, cos he just kept his head down and consistantly put in fast laps. The 3 stop strategy was a superb move by the team because it meant they could change the tyres dependant on what the weather did.
Ok, he was a bit lucky that Alonso failed, Kimi crashed and the saftey car but he deserved the win none the less

Yes very pleased that he's won and I hope that there are many more. Britain has a long history of world class drivers and hopefully this will elevate him onto the same level as Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill, Jackie Stewart etc, etc.
He also strikes me a personable guy - unlike some of the monosyllabic drivers that are around.....

Yeah it was great, shame shuey went out though, it was a good opportunity for him to close the gap on Alonso to make it a more exciting end to the season.
I still the that Q3 in the qualifying is a waste of fuel though, they need to change it.
P.S I think he won it fair and square, the only one who was ahead of him was Alonso and Jenson was catching him easily, everyone else was slower. As for the conditions, it was the same for everyone.
Even if everyone was still in the race at the end he would still have finished in the 1st or 2nd at worst.

Yes, I'm glad. Apart from the fact that he's a Brit, it's always good for the sport to have a new winner... driver and team - well done to Honda, as well.
I think that's the first time I have ever heard the Japanese national anthem!

He crafted a superb victory from a very lowly grid position, with some great overtaking, in conditions that saw many fancied runners make dreadful mistakes or fall off.
Yes, I am glad he has won a Grand Prix at last and glad also that he did it in great style.
Nice.

Yes! I'm not ashamed to say there was a tear in my eye - especially when I saw John (Button). Well deserved and I'm glad it's finally come!
