NOSTALGIA: Were you into 'cruising' when the Beach Boys were the hot music of the day?

We used to cruise the strand in Hermosa Beach, California - riding in our ragtop '65 Mustang with the AM radio blasting as loud as it could get - what memories!

I wasn't born when the beach boys were popular. But I remember cruising in my hometown with Metallica, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Poison, etc. blaring at full tilt on my radio in my 454 c.i.d. 72' Nova. I'm older now but I still do it occasionally.
