Depends on what you want to do.
I have a degree in chemistry and PhD in molecular biology.
In order to learn chemistry properly you need to work a lot on the bench, whereas biology is easier to learn even on your own.

Also the trend is science is working a lot on the molecular level and combining different disciplines (chemistry, biology, math, physics, engineering, informatics). So no matter what you do in biology you will need sooner or later a good background in chemistry, especially physical chemistry..

You really need a combination of both. I am a microbiologist working as a chemist. There is too much interaction between both fields to avoid either. Besides, they feed on each other. The more you learn about one...the more sense the other makes. Some of my co-workers thought biology was easier. Others would rather study chemistry. No form of higher learning is easy. It definitely can be fun. Even my friends in engineering took classes in chemistry and microbiology.

I personally enjoy the prospects of biology. In biology you learn about all different kinds of cells and how they work. You learn about your body, plants, and animals. Biology is very organic, but Chem can be as well. Biology has chemistry roots, so when you learn about Biology you also learn the basics of Chemestry, too, just not as complicated.

Biology is better I think. Its less abstract than chemistry and so easier to understand. However in certain instances the subjects go hand in hand and a general knowledge of both is necessary.

Lol, for me it's obvious! BIOLOGY rocks my sock!! Took AP Biology last year and loved it....despite the fact that I did mediocore on the exam :) hehehe.

Anyway, biology all the way because who doesn't love to learn about microoraganisms that make us and everything in this world up? Beside, chemistry is with numbers. lol, jk...I guess it's all opinions. I actually considered biochemistry freshman year...before taking Honors Chemistry, arg!

i for my area hate all of them -- i'm a journalist -- yet of the three, i could say biology. Chemistry and physics are too intangible. a minimum of in biology, you already know what a cellular is, the way it works. that's a stable ingredient. Chemistry and physics are greater approximately concepts and theoretical stuff.

I think biology is better. Personally I find it much more interesting. Although, I find that both helps to give a better understanding of the other.

Chemistry is definitely better. I never really cared about how photosynthesis worked or about cells... I might be a little biased though, as I am a chemist. ;)
