You can try rust remover, since it's white it won't wreck the color, I wouldn't recomend it for colored clothes since it tends to take the color out too.

Make a paste of lemon juice and salt and put it on the stain. Let it sit, and then wash it. Don't dry it in a dryer, instead put it outside on a very sunny day. The remainder of the stain(if any) will bleach out from the sun.

You can try soaking it in cream of tartar. I did that once to a silk blouse and it helped. Hope your jumper's not ruined!!

try bleaching it ?
or use dynamo to rub a little bit on the stain and wash normally :)

try a clorox bleach pen, you can put it directly on the spot, then wash normally and dry in the sun.
