Sounds stupid but one of the best ways I have found is white toothpaste and a toothbrush. But it has to be white toothpaste. Good luck.

This question has already appeared here before. Buy soda crystals( washing soda,) Place a spoonful in a non metallic bowl, add boiling water, place silver object in solution, add kitchen foil about 3 inches off a normal roll, and place, in the water Allow it to touch the silver. It should "FIZZ" keep watching to observe it working, should clean silver in 10 minutes. Its something to do with the self generated electricity of the 2 dissimilar metals.

White toothpaste is the BEST way to clean silver. Works great on all gold and silver jewelry.

He has right, toothpaste, but the brush will scratch your silver so I don't recommend it.
You can boil your silver in wather with salt for a few minutes.
I did. It will not be perfect clean, but if you don't wan't to spend money - try.
Better try only a small thing like a ring, and if it works go ahead.

I'll join in with this and get myself two points...

TOOTH PASTE!

It really does work...but obviously don't use it on things with detail or on chains or you'll be left with a sticky minty white residue stuck in the gaps. And that will bug you forever!

I agree with these other people. White toothpaste works REALLY well. You can't use the gel stuff though, it just doesn't work.
