We need someone like Frank & Jesse in today's society. When the Railroad came in trying to take theirs as well as others land, did they not fight back? The Railroad forced their hand and that's where we need someone to stand and be heard to these oil companies who are getting rich off us.

Hmmmm......Technically he was an Outlaw I guess, but to a LOT of people he was considered a Hero. I guess the Law considered him an outlaw but the people believed he was a hero.... I LOVE the james gang stories..... what a great question =)

I once thought they, (Jesse James and his brother) were hero's, because i watched an old movie about his life, I believe Henry Fonda played the role. But then I watched a documentary about Jessie James on the history channel, they (the James brothers) Hardly seemed like "hero's." But then again, hard times and bad things that happen to a person, breeds hatred in certain people. Sometimes you can't blame them for the things they do.. Like if a person killed your child, would you want to kill them? If you did indeed kill them in retribution, would that make you an "Outlaw?" I think not.

Finally, a fun question.

I guess the answer would depend on which side of the law you are on. You do know that the United States of America is a nation of laws?

Anyway, here is a good biography site for Mr. James,

To most of the common people they were heros. The sad truth is that he, Jesse, was a cold blooded killer. He rode with Quantrall during the Civil War and did not change after the was ended.

Hero: He didn't try to hurt other people. He was trying to take care of his family (especially his mother). Also, I hear he lived to be over a 100 years old--that his death was faked.
