Do you believe this? Perhaps that is the law, but I seriously doubt there is any genuine effort at enforcement.

Have you ever heard of the monkey meat project. If is focused on the congos(there are at least two countries using the name Congo). The Monkey Meat Project is trying to provide viable protein alternatives to the indigenous peoples to avoid them from killing primates.

But do not celebrate too soon. Using primates as a food source in central Africa is still very much the norm.

In Congo they do not value human life like we do. And there are so many more people than Gorillas. It sure would make think twice before poaching.
