why is America stupid?we are told that we are the home of the FREE. (oh wait a min did I say free? we are not free) and the home of the brave? ok wait a min. the only reason why our Mr Brave president is brave is because he sits and hide behind a desk when he says more troops over there. Lets put our president over there to do what he wants our troops to do and lets see if he is so brave. and yet America is letting this brave man call all the shots. so again i ask why is America stupid?

I guess that is to say if we degrade the country we live in, the president in office and the troops of the USA as smart, we all have problems. There was a man in Iran that has died recently for doing the very thing you did here. He was imprisoned for speaking out against the state and president. I really don't think you will face these charges in the USA. I really think you need to come again about the brave Mr. President, he flew into Baghdad, how many people would have been gunning for him. Freedom comes with a price, would you prefer the war on terror to come to your neighborhood? How about the USA just pull all troops out bring them home and say come on in our citizens doesn't mind a bloody war at home? Who would be screaming the loudest then? Who be yelling he was chicken that is why he didn't send in troops? Get real people you can't have it all ways.

well, i think that the formation of political parties has had a huge impact on the development of this country. when the constitution was first proposed there were several people that thought it gave the government too much power. the argument against that was that america was so large and diverse that there would be several factions representing different ideas and beliefs, which would make it very difficult for any one faction to gain and retain power. currently people essentially have only 2 choices, and people in government now are working to make it easier and easier for incumbent cadidates to remain in office. in fact, they've been so effective that 98% of those currently in office get re-elected. it's really one of the only things that republicans and democrats seem to agree upon.

another reason is that people have a tendency to worship the constitution and they claim that changing it is almost heresy. while it was written by some of the most intelligent and capable politicians ever, at the time it was written most of them thought that it wasn't very good, and because of that they expected it to only be temporary until something better could be conceived of.

it also doesn't help when a guy like george w. bush is president.

The bravo, rather buffoon, president is like a clown in a circus where major acts are performed by others and the job of a clown is only to entertain the audience from time to time, as the president does on TV! If you are stating that we our country is the home of an free and the brave and basing it off of your opinions of one man then that just shows how stupid you are.

We are free why do you think they allow idiot people to stand up and always put the president or military down with out consequences.

When we say the brave they are not referring to just one man they are referring to the nation. We are the type of country that ain't afraid to stand up and fight for what we believe in no matter the consequences.

why are you stupid? do you think that one man is going to stop the war. By you and everyone else constantly talking crap about the war, you are making our boys feel bad about protecting us. They are doing there job, and willing to die for us. To protect your sorry ***. I was against the war in the beginning, but then my cousin joined the army after 9-11. I asked him why and he said that if people in the past died for us to have the certain liberties we do now that he would to. I was very upset at first i didnt think that he should have to go. It was stupid, when i told him that he looked at me like i had just stabbed him. And he said that everyone that has ever been to war and died was for a stupid reason, and that standing up for what he believed in was stupid. I felt like a complete idiot, and ver since then i stand behind all the boys that are there and i am sorry for all the ones that have perished, but do not dishonor their death by saying it was stupid or idiotic. I may not believe in all the actions of my president, but i do understand what he is trying to do, again maybe not in the way he should be. So again i ask you, are you that stupid and inconciderate, that you are willing to go against everything that you are saying this country should be and at the same time dishonoring all the brave young men that are there saving you.

America is stupid because of its own arrogance, avarice, hubris and selfishness. Our own intelligence is what's made us stupid. We seem to believe that even though we're only 5% of the world's population, we should be entitled to more than 55% of the world's resources. And we squander those resources like drunken sailors without regard for tomorrow, or for the rest of the Earth's inhabitants (including plants and animals, by the way).
If you WERE to send Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld to the front lines to "lead" us into war, you'd have to take along plenty of changes of underwear...because those sissy cowards would s**t their pants in an instant!
America is obtuse because we allow ourselves to be led down the path like lambs being led to slaughter. We believe everything the conservative-biased media preaches, especially the toxic waste spewed from the big mouths of Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter, and Shawn Hannity. Our response to everything is: "we're bigger and better, so we'd best bully any one into submission who tries to take away our way of life".
Bush seems to believe that any conflict can be resolved with enough guns and ammo (great for the armaments industries!).
But eventually the day will come when our obtuse actions will finally end. Probably when China, our biggest creditor, revokes our credit line and starts to foreclose. Once that happens (and Bush has put taxpayers TRILLIONS of dollars in debt), we will become victims of our own largess. Since there won't be any money to sustain a military, China will simply come in a take whatever they want: military hardware; real estate; oil; natural gas; weapons of mass destruction; property; even our women if there's a lucrative sex-slave industry to be served.
The problem is we think we're so damned smart, and it's really our own stupidity that blinds us to the fact that compassion, love and sharing are the only way for our country - and others - to survive on this planet. If we don't hang together, we will all hang separately as we continue to destroy our planet. -RKO-

America is stupid because we have freedom. You give someone freedom and the first thing they want to do with it is be stupid. It will get better with time hopefully. Look at our history, everything a nation could do that is bad we have done and we are still doing more stupid things, but we seem to learn from it and change it. Hopefully that will stay true. If not, then I don't see this country lasting much longer.

Our ideas are not requested,we must only eat,look Tv and stupid reality shows, transform our children in consumerists ready to buy stupid toys made by chinese slaves.

Good Question. We became zombie's somewhere along the line, when the government started telling us what we can and can't do. People believe the crap that is spewed out to them. They are to lazy or to stupid to investigate and find the truth. And the ones that do are out numbered, and they have no where to vent the truth.
