You can imagine how about if a football coach puts a marathon athelete in an NFL field.
It is not the players that tall. It is the nature of basketball to have tall players because this game required rebounds, power to break down the defences and also accuracy shootings (not to forget that dunking had not yet in their mind when Naismith invented this game). So, taller and bigger players are better for basketball because they are stronger and easier to grab the ball.It does not mean that small guys cant play this game-ask Bogues, Webb, Robinson, etc who small in NBA.

because they draft(pick..just in case u didnt kno) the ones that are tall so itz easier to lay-up the ball and dunk it during a game... only a few short bball players can do that
