Wayne Roony hes more of a natural player,but frank lampard is not far behind him in talent.

They are both excellent football players, no doubt about it. Like them or hate them they get the job done. In my opinion though, Lampard is a better performer on the pitch than Rooney is.

Come on, Rooney ???? Lampard is like 1000 times better then baby Rooney???? If Rooney was so good why he didn't score in WC and why Man Utd didn't won the English league or Champions league!!!!! He is soooooooooooooo overrated!!!!!! If any coach in the world would have to choose between them two , he would choose Lampard 110%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have to also say Wayne Rooney at least he plays Football, all I have seen lampard doing is standing still waiting for someone to cross the ball to him, he looks so boring.

Wayne Rooney.. though i don't like him that much, i must admit that he's the best out of him and Lampard. Lampard didn't play that well in WC 2006..

Rooney, without any doubt. He is one of the rare type of footballers that comes along only once in a generation (certainly in English Football).
In my opinion, comparing Lampard to Rooney is like comparing Cliff Richard to Elvis Presley.
