If I am understanding what you wrote, you had what you think may have been a miscarriage because it was very painful and you passed a large clot. You now suspect you are 6 weeks pregnant, you had some light brown spotting last month and also had some spotting after having sex the other day. Is that correct?

Ok, first there is nothing much you can do to prevent a miscarriage...especially early ones, because we don't know why they occur. The best thing to do is eat healthily and avoid alcohol and drugs.

Spotting can be normal in pregnancy or it can be the start of a miscarriage...there is no way to know til you either miscarry or don't. Brown spotting is old blood and unless it is followed by red spotting it is not a problem. A lot of women have some spotting after sex when pregnant- there is a lot more blood in the cervix so if it is aggravated it may bleed a bit. Try another position. Woman on top allows you to control how far the penis enters and can work in halting bleeding after sex.

Do not exceed dosages for painkillers...it will not make them work better and ibuprofen is dangerous while pregnant.

I hope that helps.

I had a miscarriage, after which a little one now not lengthy after, then one other miscarriage. Considering I used to be instructed I'd in no way get pregnant, I viewed that one a blessing. Two years later I pass pregnant once more, and we had a good time and concept we might in no way get pregnant once more. Then #three used to be born 18 months after #two...WOW! Then #four used to be 15 months after #three, then 18 months later #five....we began considering it used to be a few type of cosmic funny story! #6 used to be born 2 years after #five, and quantity seven (we name her seven of 7) used to be born 2 years after #6. My SIL additionally confronted a number of miscarriages, 4 or 5 I feel, she stopped telling us after a at the same time. She acquired pregnant approximately ten years in the past even though, after which popped out FIVE in ten years. So we are each particularly cheerful with our little benefits. I'm sorry to your loss, I have no idea what else to let you know besides to maintain your hopes up. I in no way concept I'd be so blessed, and I keep in mind the ones days of dread, each and every month of praying. We had been complete nuts for the duration of our pregnancies, principally on account that all of our miscarriages had been after 12 weeks...a long way into the trimester of 'safeguard'.

Okay, tough love time---if you suspected you were pregnant, why were you drunk?!
Hard to tell if it was a miscarriage; sometimes, a woman might miss a period (due to stress, weight loss, medications) and then have an extra-heavy one later.
15 ibuprofen is WAY too much. I know you were in pain and probably desperate to stop it, but that much ibuprofen could have done serious damage to your digestive system.
If you had such a big clot, I doubt you are pregnant now, but ask your doc at your appointment for a pregnancy test. If you are pregnant, please tell your doctor about your alcohol binge and ibuprofen overdose so that s/he can monitor your pregnancy with that in mind. If you are pregnant but don't want to have a baby, please arrange to have a safe terminmation. But considering your bleeding, I doubt you are pregnant.

Having a blood clot pass that was that big is cause for alarm doctors recommend you see them if it is bigger than a quarter. If you are pregnant you need a OB/GYN and vitamins and should avoid drinking in smoking for the babies health. Your cervix is sensitive and you may have slight discharge when pregnant. Over dosing on medication is never wise.See your doctor.

That sounds like a miscarriage. I've had three. But I hurt for several days, and bled for an average of ten days each time.
My advice? Go to a doctor. If it was a miscarriage, they need to make sure that it passed completely. Good luck.
