Now, to be stubborn means that you plant both feet on the ground, clench your fists, grind your teeth & say, "It’s my way. I’m right, & I don’t care what anybody else says. That’s the way it’s going to be."

No. I'm a loner and I do not "work well with others" But I try to get along as best I can. One way is to compliment the others even tho I "do my own thing" and to be open and receptive to questions asked and compliments received.

Loyalty to one's beliefs is not true stubbornness. but accepting that others' don't agree is important too. Listen to them and try to get them listen to you. Don't berate anyone. Work your beliefs into your replies. Be openly and fully responsive when you are wrong

When I speak of beliefs, I don't always mean the biggies like religion, politics & sports. There are also little points of discussion: tommorrow's weather, how to make a good cup of coffee. Give a little. The world world does not revolve around Paris Hilton or Pres Bush, but around your family, friends and colleagues. Treat people like persons.

Stubborn is not stubborn when you are right, you sound like you know exactly how to act.
