Yes, there have been lots of undercurrent rumors that the 'forces of Islam' are trying to rule the world and drag everyone back to the 6th or 7th century AD.
This nonsense is the reason why some people support the current administration unquestioningly. And I believe that's how the rumors got started.

Lately, it looks to me , that Hugo Chavez, from Venezuela, is looking to rule the world. Look at all the munitions he bought from the Russians. My gosh, what could a dictator like Hugo possibly need 100,000 AK-47's for if not to take over the world?
Actually, Hugo would rather conquer the world by talking his way around it, although I think he's hit a few bumps in the road, lately.
Kim Jong IL must have brushed off his visit to N.Korea, because Hugo cancelled it, from his travel plans. After all, to Kim Jong IL, he doesn't need another world dominater competing with him to be the ruler of the world. Vietnam was another mis-step for Hugo, he burst into Nam, congratulation them on their wonderful communist achievements. The fact is, the Vietnamese saw communism as a means to an end. They are not the closest friends the Chi-coms ever had, so they would rather low key this whole communist thing. Viet nam is concerned about image, and image and communism together, do not show well.
So, when big mouth Hugo comes on the scene, exalting Vietnam's communist achievements, it's really more than it's leadership wants to hear. Perhaps Hugo needs to take a Dale Carnegie course on "How to win friends and influence people".
You have to wonder...........who's watching the store, while Hugo's off on his world tour. Many times, these flash in the pan dictators go away, and when they return, someone else has taken their job. Hugo needs a Raul, life Fidel has in his bag of ttricks!

Don't need the media to tell me that Iran has already spread its influence near and wide. Their President has done PR well flying off to Asia, S E Asia for regional meetings with political leaders. Even a blimp like Chavez honors him.
Rumsfeld, Condi have been busy in this region too but both have not impressed the regions' leaders - infact some have criticized them.
Iran's brand of religious fervor is a sure threat to countries and regions; even moderate Islamic countries shy away siding with the US to fight their influence (terrorism is one way Iran fights).
It's not media propaganda when they sponsor militant groups like Hizbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Palestine, and others.
It's not media propaganda when Iran defies the free world to pursue their nuclear program.
It's not propaganda when their President repreatedly called for the destruction of Israel.
Israel's campaign against Hizbollah in Lebanon is a timely step - a correct one - to fight Iran's growing influence. Everything else is propaganda.

I'd like to know what you read that would even mention Israel or the U.S. as wanting to "rule the world". The only countries ever coming right out and declaring they want to "annihilate" a country, or use terror tactics are Islamic. I suggest reading more than one news source, makes things much more understandable.

this isn't any longer approximately Arabs and Jews. i'm very a lot against boycotting settlers products yet this regulation is amazingly complicated and that i say as an Israeli that we would desire to consistently locate the thank you to counter this boycotts with out this way of non-democratic regulation. think of a minute of the outcomes. on a similar thought the regulation may be prolonged to punish every person who demands boycott consistent with ANY reason. So a non secular Jew may be punished for calling to boycott an business enterprise that violates sabbat, or for utilising sexual exposure.

neither. the chinese are trying to rule the world. u juz dun notice it bcos they're very stealthy and insidious. they hide their cruel dictatorship under the modern facade of capitalism, but let's not forget communists who become selective and abandon their original communist values for wealth and power, and yet retain all the hallmarks of an unforgiving dictatorship, are the most dangerous people in the world. they also have OCD bcos they insist on taking over taiwan n want all the chinese in the world to pledge allegiance to their 'motherland'. i noe bcos i'm singaporean n they're inundating my country. it's kinda frustrating.. just imagine china overtaking the US as the strongest superpower in the world a few decades in the future as predicted... the CCP CANNOT BE TRUSTED to maintain world peace!!!
