Big truck I assume.

Remove the U-joint clamps from the trans. end of the drive shaft.

Then remove the bolts and nuts from the carrier bearing.(The next set of U-joints toward the rear end.

You may need to pry on the trans. end of the shaft to get it to drop out. (it's going to be heavy)

Wrap electrical tape around the U-joint cups so you dont loose all the needle bearings.

Now, PULL on the drive shaft forward to slide it off the splined end of the rear shaft.

The carrier bearing should be replaced at this point. It too WILL slide off the the splined end. Not very easily though.

They can't be too far away from the shaft. You may have to put the car on jackstand an crawl underneath to get a better look. I would get a repair manual on the car before I started tearing it apart.

Usually before the first U-joint on the far end from the transmission.
