racial,cultural prejudice! is it?

a while ago i read in the newspaper that a white english women was made to take her pot cows from her window because it offended cetain ethnic minorites there! during the world cup,other certain minorites were complaining about the st george cross on england shirts and even the humble hot "cross" bun got some stick because it offended certain people! shouldnt it be everyone accepting each others culture+ not saying get rid of this we are offended! england is a protestant country! + has been for centuries!they shouldnt come here + start slagging of there host nation,its people,and shoveing there own culture + traditions down there throat! saying this is right way you all wrong! u dont go to somebodys house + do that do you! or do they! probably!+if anybody says anything back its classed as rascism! is it?

I like Skulls answer, i am white UK, but dislike the football culture n flags, but i love hot cross buns, not all minority ethnic are as you described, like all of us, some people like to dictate their beliefs, what we should and should not do.. also in papers, a lot of these snippet stories are called fills, you have a collection of stories written over the years, you may have a space to fill, so you find a piece that has the right size / width, or theme etc and use it to fill the page. individuals may take offence, as do we British.. don't do a collective paint job on different groups just because you read it in the paper.. historically England was not always a protestant country, and how come we use that term when very few of us even take our "national" religion seriously any ways? we have traditions, other people have traditions, we should share, enjoy and learn from them all.

You are absolutely right. The most complaicent ethnic group in britain are the muslims. They claim that everyday they see racist things that are not noticed by white people. I think it is pathetic as the other day i saw in the paper that the muslim community had organised a "muslim only day at alton towers" now whites and blacks simply said fair enough but if any of us organised a whites only or a blacks only day at alton towers the muslim community would be in an uproar screaming at us calling us racist. Ive seen it in several situations before all to long to explain but i can see that these muslim people who come to britain to live should not complain at us and tell us to change our culture. When we say no go away they seem to think that we are being racist while if we did change some things to suit the muslims and white religious people said it affended them they would say no it isnt racist. Personally i think that they should be prepared to intergrate with the british people and adapt to our culture. It is the only way that we can co-exist and abolish racial predjudice.
