I think they were both as bad as each other. They both committed genocide, they both tried to take over the whole of Europe and subject its people to their rule. They were both dictators, they were both fascists and they both had anyone who disagreed with them punished. Those who think Napoleon did nothing wrong really need to read a history book.

Hitler, he tried to kill off a lot of people including 6 million Jewish people. He good job of destorying most of Europe including Germany. He also plunged the world in a war that lasted 6 years. So really when it comes to it Napoleon was small potatoes compare to Hitler. But Napoleon didn't have the technology to do what Hitler and manage to attack Britian.

Hitler was a power crazed megalomaniac who wanted, ultimately, to control the world and had no hesitation in murdering millions of people and causing untold suffering to millions more, the legacy of which is still with us. Napoleon, on the other hand, was, basically, a soldier who was trying to expand France's interests and did not have people killed indiscriminately just because of their race or religious beliefs.

Hitler.

Napoleon wanted a world run by the French in general and himself in particular.

Hitler wanted a world which he had decimated to his own, insane specifications, and which would be run for the benefit of those he considered racially fit at the expense of everyone else. He didn't just intend to murder the Jews, he intended that other non-aryan nations would be used as barely educated, barely fed slaves.
