What does Fingerman mean?

i was reading this comic book "V for Vendetta" and the people who were men of government took this girl who was out to make money with prostitution... she learns the men work for government and says "oh christ you're a fingerman"...

wtf?

someone who fingers you for a crime. in other words they tell on you or point the finger at you. m
