http://www.truenews.org/religious/separation.html
Due to state establishment of one religion doctrine this was forbidden in this country. Please read this. If you need to find out more go to the site concerning the Constitution of the USA. Every person alive has servitude, God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Allah, Buddha and the list goes on. Some who have no religious background have servitude of their own interests and self. No one in the USA enslaves another. We all have to decide for ourselves what we are good for. With a culture as diverse as in the USA there are many answers to that question but it still comes down to the individual making that decision.

No, the separation of church and state is not just a matter of study. It's one the defining characteristics of democracy. The exception in the West is constituted by some states in the US that advocate for the most extreme fundamentalist version of Christianity to bear on public matters, thus reducing a complex issue (separation of church and state) to silly things such as praying in schools and things like that.

Everyone plays a role in society. Whether it is coming up with a cure for aids or bagging groceries at the store they are generally useful to someone else. How did the topic get switched from church and state to slavery? Slavery doesn't happen in the US anymore.. or it does.. they just call it minimum wage.

Separation of church and state should be the intention of any study that is going on. Churches should be independent without the interference of the state. As such the the head of the church should never be also the head of a state whereby churches can be ruled without autonomy.

Separation of church and state is more of an unreachable ideal. Unfortunately, we will never completely stop religion from interfering in areas of society where it does not belong, but that's the price the rest of us pay for being in a minority.
Do a search on dystopias. A lot of writers share your concern.

We are driven by media and our lust for everything...wow, I need a hit, where's my pipe...ahh just kidding. Dude slavery is common but the masses are distracted by the wants. Dammit the marketers...they don't even let you think for yourself so you fall into broken priorities.

Seperation of church and state is not really a study, but in a democracy, if the majority of people are christians, then legislation should reflect christian percepts. live with it.
