First i want to say sorry about ur loss! It is very hard! i had 3 miscarriages, and and eptopic preg. tried for 14 yrs and had nothing but heartbreak. My tubal pg was the last, and they had to take the whole tube then i had to go back and have the ovary removed too. I was devastated thought for sure any chance of me having another child were nil. Then after about a yr I excepted the fact and i wasnt going to have anymore children and I got pregnant!!!! and i was scared ! I couldnt bear the thought of losing another child! But now i have a healthy 2 yr old baby boy!!!!! A true gift from God!

Its gret that they were able to save the tube. I would give ur body and heart time to heal. Personally I think 3 mos is a little too soon to start, give ur body at least 6 mos to yr b4 u start trying again but dont worry you'll have ur children! it is possible!! Wish u the best of luck!! Let urself grieve and then keep ur spirits up!!! IT WILL HAPPEN FOR YOU!!!!

I answered your ? yesterday about having an ectopic and my tube removed and then getting pregnant about 2 months later. It will happen, just because you've had one doesn't mean you'll have another. Did they tell you the reason for it, or let you know the condition of the tube that they removed the ectopic from?? My doc said my tube looked perfect and there was no reason for it, but they removed it so that it wouldn't produce scar tissue and happen again. They should've run a special dye through your tubes to see if there are any blockages in them. Did you ever have any std's that were left untreated for a long period of time? That can do it too. Just relax and start trying again in 3mnths. I'm sure they just told you to come back in again to check the healing progress, and give you the ok, no big deal. They wouldn't be able to tell if you're sterile though, obviously you're not!!! The period right after a surgery like that is when you're most fertile though, so be careful I got pregnant too soon after my ectopic, and wasn't even thinking it would happen for awhile???!!!!!! Good Luck

One ectopic does not mean it will happen again. Even at the worst, the tube has been damaged, you do have two of them! So the chances of getting pregnant and carrying to term are very good...same, actually, as anyone else. My wife miscarried our first (very common), and the 2nd started out as ectopic, but just before they were about to do surgery, the embryo "fell" into place and the pregnancy was normal..our first son. Good luck.

Hi my friend had an ectopic pregnancy six years ago in the uk, they told her to wait two years before trying again, that she did and got pregnant straight away, she was monitored at the early stages of pregnancy to make sure it was normal and she now has a very healtyh 4 year old boy!
Good luck and I wish you well
