I want to create an internet forum that is password restricted to only certain participants in my organization. This forum will be only accessible to high ranking members of the group, and will contain highly personal information. Is there a simple and inexpensive way to set this up? Also, it would be best if posts would be automatically deleted after say 30 days, so that there would be no archives. I am just a private individual; this is not a business and so there are no company secrets to protect, i.e., no mainframe to hack containing company secrets. The only protection I seek is for the personal privacy of the members. Suggestions? Thanks!

There are a lot of open source script for your need.
You can try phpBB or vBuletin.
Each package has their own access mechanism on specific forum topic/category.
Just read the installation document inside the software package.
