A good "family" movies would be:
Hoodwinked - an animated whodunit yarn loosly based on Little Red Riding Hood.
Wallace and Grommit - Curse of the Wererabbit - cute movie with lovable claymation figures Wallace and Grommit, filled with their wacky inventions and Grommit saving Wallace, as usual.
Both movies are entertaining to both children and adults.
The best action/drama would be:
"Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift" - mostly for the cars; storyline a little formula and over the top to be believable.
"Inside Man" - heist move starring Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster...has lots of plot twists and turns.
Best comedy:
Dirty Love - "Got Dumped" is the tagline - stars former Playmate/funny girl Jennie McCarthy and the story of her getting dump and all sorts of embarrassing and gross humor things happen to her before she meets Mr. Right. I usually don't like gross humor but this was hilarious!
The Ringer - starring Johnny Knoxville as a man that decides to pretend to be retarded in order to "fix" the Special Olympics. My son dragged me to this one as I thought it sounded tasteless and assine, much like Johnny Knoxville is, but it was good and give you a different perspective and appreciation for mentally handicapped people.
Horror:
Final Destination 3 - not the theatre version, but the DVD addition with alternate endings.
Hostel - it is probably the most disturbing movie and I don't think I could bear to watch it again, but it is also a very powerful one that sticks with you afterward and makes you think

I enjoyed Taledega Nights. Other than some language coming from the kids in the movie, but that got resolved too.

3 months ago. A foreign movie called "Intacto". Very weird but stylish.
Although I sheepishly admit saw Talledega Nights, Ricky Bobby yesterday and laughed my a** off.

X men - The Last Stand was pretty good. Have to say that'd be the last good movie I've seen.

I saw Inside Man, which was good, made you think kinda, but since you're a girl the Lake House was awesome too.
