The KKK is more selective in who they terrorize, where as a terrorists don't care who they go after.
No matter how you want to look at it both are dangerous.

Although teh klu Klux Klan isnt abducting planes, there are still considered terrorists. A terrorist is someone who terrorises. The Klu Klux Klan is just as bad as any other terrorist group. Anyone who is harming others because of their beliefes, race, or any other personal issue is wrong in doing so. There is no superior race or religion, not all people understand that. Aparently these people's mother's didnt raise them very well...

The KKK are a bunch of bigots. They are largely an irrelevant group.
Terrorists are far worse. They go around killing innocent people for no good reason. They do far more harm than anyone in the KKK.
In the USA, maybe one in one hundred million people relate to the KKK. In the muslim world, who knows how many sympathize with radical Islamo-fascists. If it is as high as 50%, it would not surprise me.

KKK are terrorists too and far worse in my eyes.
Explanation is not really necessary. Any American who claims ignorance are KKK themselves.
Currently I reside in a county noted for KKK rallies, I drive through their area about once a week. Who do you think has more opportunity and motivation to harm me?

the kkk is generally misunderstood. the are only for keeping the caucasian race pure, as it states in the bible. some radical factions, much like the islamic radicals, have given them a bad name. both the terrorists and the kkk just want to be friends. trying to wipe them out will just make them angrier. (hopefully you can read the sarcasm in this)

No difference.
A terrorist is anyone who resorts to violence to suppress other people's rights.
It's a form of blasphemy, if you think about it, because they are putting themselves "above" other people.
