I'm just wondering if you are aware that it has the highest # of security problems rated as extremely critical, and that by using it and simply visiting a virus hosting website, (it doesn't have to be porn), you can ruin your $$$ computer and you will have a higher chance of your ID stolen etc...etc...etc...etc...
Its not called Insecure Exploder for nothing.

Firefox needs plugins for everything, plus it cant browse my network.

For that I use IE and only IE. I never have spyware problems, I never have viruses and I ahvent ever lost my password to someone.

Fact is, its all down to the user. If your stupid you will download spyware regardless to the browser used. Fishing exploits may work but you should know your bank would never ask for your pin nnumber anyway.

No hi tech software replaces the need for common sense. Quit trying.

There are certain risks with using any browser. Hackers can generally exploit any flaw in a particular software's programming. It tends to become fear mongering when it is reported in the press. As a general rule, for every one major flaw found there are 100 that are known to the hacker world that just have not yet been reported. There is nothing that is 100% safe when it comes to computing, there are only ways to perform risk management to prevent the less technically advance hackers from attacking you. It really is a matter of personal preference when it comes to browsers. I really like the new Google Chrome.

Been using it for 10 years. So far, so good. I have Windows firewall on and Norton Antivirus. I stick with Yahoo Mail which scans e-mail attachments before I open them. Once I was not allowed to open an attachment because Norton said it contained a worm. I intent to stay with IE, Norton, and Yahoo.

The fact is you can get anything like virus and spyware with unsafe surfing habits and it doesn't matter what browser you use. I have both IE and Firefox and use both. Surf safe, use protection! Good luck!

I'm not and you're perfectly correct. IE is the 8th worst computer product of all time http://pcworld.com/article/125772-3/article.html#ie6
and I use Firefox, which is much more safer than IE and is the best product of 2005

For your information, whatever browser you use, if it is made by man, then it can be defeated by a smarter man. What in your opinion is considered even 85-90% safe?
