im getting my butt kicked in LOTR Battle For Middle Earth! any tips?

im really getting annoyed of me losing to other players online. whats the best strategy, tips, how to get more resources etc..

note: im not talking bout BFME2

it's an RTS so just use the basic RTS strategy. Build up your base, using "sentry towers" (can't remember what they're called in BMFE) for defenses, and once your base is built up and well defended, build your army and just go on a crusade across the map, killing anything that moves.
