I am in the US military stationed in Japan, Why is all the tv shows here use Japanese stars instead of another culture Doesnt that sound like a dumb question

Maybe it's not a question of them not being picked for the show...maybe they're smart enough to avoid going on national television and behaving like spoiled, back stabbing, ignorant children in front of millions of people.....
