I have the perfect topic for you. Write a compare and contrast paper about the psychological effects Adolf Hitler had on the citizens of Germany during the Holocaust. The main question to ask when analyzing this topic is: why did otherwise normal/reasonable Germans choose to believe in the ideas/mentality established by Hitler ? How could so many Germans fail to see the incredible injustice caused by these beliefs ? How did one's environment play a role in this massive "brainwashing" ? **You may want to use the trail of Adolf Eichmann as a significant point of reference. ** Use wikipedia and sparknotes.com for help if you're pressed for time.
Once you've collected enough data on the above subject matter, compare and contrast the civil rights movement of the 1950s. Again, some of the same ideas/questions from the above correspond to this topic as well. Why did so many slaves working in plantations throughout the south continue to work in deplorable conditions instead of overthrowing the "powers that be?" Remember, slaves outnumbered whites in these work farms. Where was this...power in numbers ?? Why did so many educated families/individuals......intelligent people, follow these rules of segregation ? Where was common sense in all of this ? How was one's ability to reason tainted as a direct result of the environment in which they lived in ?
You can also gives examples of topics including: peer pressure, individual political affiliation (why are you a republican/democrat/independent??) Do your beliefs have anything to do with what your parents believed in ? For example:* Why do so many younger generation Cuban-Americans in Miami believe strongly that Fidel Castro is evil ? How does this differ from Cubans on the island ? And why ? Again.....think beliefs among large groups. What are the consequences of going against group belief ? The benefits ? Etc.
You see what I'm doing here ?? This is a good topic to write about. I have written about this topic before while in college and recieved an award for my efforts. I am now a graduate student and study topics like the above on a daily basis.....and I'm an MBA student!!!! My point is, it's a worthy topic to explore because it directly deals with psychology but can also be easily related for those of us that aren't psychology majors. Therefore, you'll be using ALL of your acquired knowledge from other subjects in school (and wrapping it up in a pretty package) as opposed to being a boring psychology student writing a paper on clinical depression. Trust me, your professors will be impressed with the fact that you were so thoughtful.

I had to do an assignment where I looked at myself. I ended up doing Myers-Briggs personality testing on myself and it came out spot on. However, here's the issue which I found interesting though. When I gave out the questionnaires to others to respond for me with the keywords that they thought were appropriate, I received consist ant but different answers from selected obvious groups- work colleagues, students, friends, relatives. This I did not expect in the slightest.
I concluded I wear masks depending on what I'm doing. It may be fairly obvious and it may be not, but I was surprised both by the significant difference between the groups and by the consistency within the groups. It also taught me not to judge a book by it's current cover. It's a bit like when you see a teacher out of class and realise they are actually human (some of them, anyway!).
Only the close relatives put me in the same category that I did, INTJ

You could write a paper on how people use the internet to stalk and kill, rape or maim people and how people use it to just hook up with dates, relationships and anything else that I may have missed.
Make it like a comparison study for a ten year or 20 year span to see how people online have changed.
You could even show how the police use it as well to hunt down criminals.
Good Luck on your paper and have a nice day.
