Good Report----!! Well, Montenegro is best know for its tourism spots like Budva and Herceg Novi. I went a little while ago, and it was great. The nightlife is awesome --- and the beaches are beautiful. Check out Sveti Stefan in Budva! So for a little visit it's great, but if you plan on staying there to live-- reconsider, the economy is falling.

Came back from Montenegro few days ago; people there should learn a thing or two about business but the nature is fascinating. The roads are awful but as you travel slowly you can enjoy all the sights that surround you... ;)

So I guess there some + and -, but if you are an adventurist: go! There's tons of stuff to see and do if you don't mind overpaying for medium class lodging ant the holes on the road....

I really enjoyed my stay there!

Montenegro's tourism had suffered greatly from unrests and wars in surrounding countries in the 1990s, as Balkans had been considered generally unsafe by tourists from the west. In recent years, along with the stabilized situation in the region, tourism in Montenegro began to recover, and Montenegro is being re-discovered by tourists from around the globe.

For what purpose?

I went there a few years ago on business, just as it was asserting its independence. During the time of its union with Serbia and with the sanctions against Milosevic's regime, it was really struggling and survived by getting into various dubious practices.

The people seem really nice, some of the scenery is fantastic. I had a meeting in the capital Podgorica and then one the following day in Dubrovnik. Needless to say, relations were still tense, but my customer's driver took me all the way. Some great coastline, beautiful ferry ride.

Supposed to be up and coming for tourism, plus your money will go that bit further.
