Bridges of Madison County. It's the only novel I've ever read that I actually had to stop reading because I was crying so much I couldn't make out the words.

Clint didn't a fabulous job making it into a movie. I'm glad I had read the book first though, because I think it would have been spoiled if I'd seen the movie first.

Too bad none of Robert James Waller's other stuff ever lived up to this.

Oh my... I have so many favorites... Ok, I will just pick one...
:)

"The Prize" by Julie Garwood is such a wonderful book!

Exciting story line, witty dialogue, and awesome characters. The story is fast paced from page one all the way though to the end. It is an easy read and it has a happy (and humorous) ending.

It is a book that I have had for years, but read often still, especially when I want a pick-me-up. The characters in "The Prize" make me laugh out loud. When I finish the book, I put it down and feel happy.

Talking about it makes me want to read it now! (lol-lol)

Best Wishes...
T.

Wuthering Heights was wonderful, but my vote goes to Kitty and Levin from Tolstoy's Anna Karenina.

I am going to cheat a bit and say the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.
There's romance, time travel, healing, war, politics, etc. Wonderful set of 6 books!

Dostoevskie's 'The Idiot', because it doesnt have a happy ending and the love involves four amazing characters. Amazing book, amazing romantism..
